What a wonderful afternoon! The Santa Monica Underground Donut Tour was such a fun experience and a totally unique way to explore the neighborhood. Mike, who my husband knows through his great Dodger Stadium tours, was an incredible guide — warm, funny, and clearly passionate about his subject. He shared fascinating history about both the area and the world of donuts, which made every stop feel meaningful. Randy’s Apple Fritter was a highlight — perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The Sidecar stops for huckleberry and sea salt donuts were divine. Churros and McConnell’s ice cream rounded things out beautifully. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. 10/10.

Had an amazing time on the Downtown Santa Monica Underground Donut Tour — honestly one of the best things we’ve done as a family in a long time. Our guide Mike was fantastic; his knowledge of donut history and local Santa Monica culture was genuinely impressive. We kicked things off at Randy’s where the Apple Fritter blew us away — incredible flavor and not too sweet. From there we hit Sidecar for the huckleberry and sea salt donuts, both absolutely fantastic. We rounded out the tour with churros and finished at McConnell’s for ice cream. Left stuffed and completely satisfied. Mike’s passion really makes this tour — you can tell he truly loves what he does.

Wow. Our retirement home group went of the Underground Donut Tour of Santa Monica today and it was a blast. Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and gave us a fun (and delicious tour). Started at Randy's Donuts on Wilshire Blvd. My favorite there was the apple fritter. A short walk brought us to Sidecar Donuts -- where I had my first ever walnut bacon donut. Superb! On to Papi's and churros which were out of this world. And to finish -- McConnells Fine Ice Cream on the Third Street Promenade. It was clearly a day for dessert before the entree! Along the way Mike gave us great insights into Santa Monica culture and history. He is very personable and was solicitous of the senior citizens who comprised this group. Ask for him when you ttake this delightful tour. I highly recommend it.

Great friendly tour with Sam. The donuts and churros were so delicious. They were so fresh , they were still warm. Highly recommend.
